Extreme Stories

These are tales of Extreme Superstar's quest to be a Wrestling Legend.

Intro

It all started as Extreme Superstar, who wants more than anything to be a Wrestling Icon used the theories provided by the classic TV show Quantum Leap to send him into the past, squaring off against some of the biggest names in Wrestling history and cementing his legacy in the sport. Now what he discovered is he would not only have the freedom to go anywhere he requested and then return as well afterwards but this would all take place in an Alternate Universe, meaning he could accomplish his goals without disrupting time as we know it here. So these are the tales of the man brave enough to travel into the unknown to make his dreams come true....

THE EXTREME FILES!!!!!

Match 1- Extreme vs Frank Gotch

Date: August 4th 1914

Location: Cominskey Park- Chicago Il.

When the Extreme One had "Leaped" for the first time his initial thoughts were that it was cool because the leaping effects were just like those from Quantum Leap, but since he was himself and not anyone else he was in no danger of being trapped in the past. He also thought about the concept of memory loss, which was stated many times on the show but he had no signs of that, and also since he was pretty much capable of handling the whole aspect of going in and out of time without incident he had no need for a wiscracking hologram sidekick which was kind of a bummer. Anyways he found himself right in the middle of the ring, which by todays standards was just a broken down Boxing ring. Having seen this strange person just appear in a blue flash left the crowd in the historic Chicago arena awe-struck , and Extreme wasted no time grabbing the house mic. "I'm here from the Future!," he proclaimed, "And for one reason only, to take on the World Champ Frank Gotch and win his title!" The crowd gasped as this brave young man had not only come from nowhere but was challenging the one and only Frank Gotch, who was feared by all and the first ever recognised Wrestling Champion. Gotch, in warm- up gear jumped in the ring and accepted the challenge, to take place in the main event on that night! The crowd roared at the news and both men rushed off to prepare, Extreme lept home to grab his gear and returned ready for the fight. Gotch came down the aisle expecting to see his opponent waiting but he was nowhere to be found. Extreme, actually wanted to make a grand entrance instead of the old school way of doing things by walking to the ring without theme music. Also the ring intros took place while both men were in the ring and in an assigned corner like a boxing match. So out came The Innovator of Extreme to music damn near a century before it's time and what was blasted out to the jammed packed house just sounded like noise to them. So they stared at this strange kid with odd music and clothing they had never seen before as he made his way down the aisle. Surveying the scene Extreme saw the difference first hand at how much has changed in wrestling. The ring had loose ropes, not meant to support the kind of activity the modern fans are used to seeing, and the Arena itself was poorly lit and smoky, lacking the fancy sets and lighting we are provided with today. When he entered the ring Extreme gave the ring announcer his fact card for his introduction and went to his corner. Gotch as expected was heavily cheered and Extreme solidly booed as he was the unknown weirdo from the future who was facing their beloved champ. The bell finally rang and the match had begun with the crowd as jacked up as ever. Extreme played his role as the "heel" in this match for all it was worth by teasing the crowd and taunting his opponent just serving to piss him off. He knew that he'd NEVER escape this match alive if Gotch got a hold of him, because he was a legit fighter and would just murder him and tear him apart with one submission hold. So Extreme faked a lockup and when Gotch grabbed him he yelled that he had his hair and using oil to grease himslef so he couldn't get a fair grip on him. This caused the ref to break it up and almost sent the crowd into a near riot. Gotch, known thoughout history to be a dirty fighter actually did use grease and took offense to the fact Extreme was bringing it to the ref's attention and charged full speed at him, only to be met by a hard boot to the gut and a.... STONE COLD STUNNER???!!!! It wasn't pretty but it used all of Gotch's momentum against him and as he came down HARD Extreme rolled him up and Got the 1-2-3!!!! The people of 1914 had never seen that move or anything like it before so it was a shock, not to mention the kid winning so the results had left them silent as the new champ grabbed his title as well as the microphone to say a few words and when he spoke you could hear a pin drop in the place. He praised Frank Gotch, who was just getting to his feet with the help of medics and offers his hand as a sign of respect, and... he shakes it! The crowd goes nuts, they have found respect for Extreme Superstar. Chants of his name go up he leaps home in a mysterious flash of blue.

Match 2 Extreme vs George Hackenschmit

Date: October 10th 1914

Location: Cominskey Park- Chicago Il.

As it was the site of Extreme's first time travel experiment and was such a big hit he decided to return. Also he had unfinished business in that era, he'd already defeated Frank Gotch so now it was time to tame the lion.... The Russian Lion that is, George Hackenschmit. George was the only other man from that time Extreme had to prove himself against. So with this in mind he reappeared in Cominskey Park and laid out his challenge. Despite having seen the results of the Extreme/Gotch match Hackenschmit was confident in his ability to walk away the victor, because as he saw it he was better than the both of them therfore he'd soon be champion again and king of his domain. The fight was set for the next card which was the 10th of October, Extreme held a meeting with officials to explain to them what the sport was like in his time and why it was essential that the ropes be tightened as to support the weight of a man jumping off them and the ring itself be better padded for high impact bumps. So the officials in charge took to the task of providing a more modern wrestling ring that was capable of handling the sort of things Extreme was used to. Now that the ring was up to code it allowed Extreme to fight his style of match thus not being dragged into a battle of strength as per the method of the day's wrestlers, a problem he'd already experienced against Frank Gotch. Extreme was ready when the big night came now that he felt comfortable in the modernized ring, even though it was also better for his opponent, who luckily didn't fully grasp how fortunate he was to have it. When the bell rang Extreme wowed the crowd as well as his adversary by using every high flying evasive tactic he knew, serving only to frustrate The Russian Lion and Extreme, being the savvy wrestler he is capitalized. It was this ability which saved him from a most agonizing demise at Hackenschmit's hands, but he would no longer have to concern himslef with that because one quick move out of the corner sent George's head into the exposed steel on the turnbuckle. Extreme immediately hit the move that defeated Frank Gotch, the Stone Cold Stunner and took home the win! Afterwards Extreme spoke to the crowd saying he due to other obligations could no longer defend the title so he'd vacate it after that night, he did however say he was taking the actual belt with him as a momento of his short reign as champ.
