I recently heard about such a list on the Today show, and was not happy with
theirs, so I figured Id give it a shot myself. Now please understand, I dont like ranking such lists, since I could probably
pick a top 5 or 10 no problem, but how in world am I supposed to know my 87th favorite? So, this is in NO particular order,
just how they pop in my head. Also, if this works out, I might do a 100 favorite TV characters list.
Note: I tried to honor every actor/actress I consider my favorites with at least
one spot on the list, and think I hit them all. Also, notice how there is no Star Wars characters listed, a move that might
seem sacrilegious, but its only because I HATE that whole series, and REFUSE to sit through any one of the movies. FUCK Darth
Vader, Yoda, and the other bitches from the movies, they SUCK, deal with it. Yes, Star Wars geeks, youve been SERVED. Finally,
you should know that explanations for each will be posted whenever I can get around to doing them. Now all that is out of
the way, here we go:
My 100 Favorite Movie Characters
Rip from No Holds Barred, played by Hulk Hogan: Dude, its HULK F'N HOGAN! And,
he pretty much plays himself, and that is automatically more kickass than anything ever.
Tony Montana from Scarface, played by Al Pacino: Tony Montana is the just
the coolest. He knows how to get things done, and how to live life to the fullest. Tony also has quite a sense of humor, and
is ultra charismatic. On top of that, hes got my sense of style, in clothing, cars, and homes. With the exception of the drug
dealer/killer bits, Tony kinda reminds me of myself, so I relate to him.
Rocky Balboa from the Rocky series, played by Sylvester Stallone: Rocky is a
universal character. He represents anyone who ever wanted something bad enough, and how anything is possible if you give it
your all. Since everyone has seen Rocky, Ill talk freely, but if you havent, just skip this section, and the quotes too. All
Rocky wanted in part 1 was to go the distance with boxing champ Apollo Creed. Rocky never was a particularly skilled boxer,
but he was the gutsiest man to ever put on gloves, and possessed extraordinary power in his punches, due to his will to win.
With that in mind, he was a long shot to win the title from Apollo, and he knew it, but Rocky was determined to hang in for
the duration, to prove to himself that he could. Instead of going for the Disney miracle ending, Rocky went the distance with
Creed, but it touched us all, since that is all he wanted to do, which made it as good as any victory ever could be. In part
2, Rocky came back, and yes, he knocked Apollo out to win the title, but it was close. It was believable, since he committed
again to get the job done in the rematch, training ever harder, and having experience to draw from. Throughout the 5 Rocky
films, Rocky was always fighting against something, striving to succeed, something applicable to all our lives. I know just
hearing the original Rocky theme, or Eye of the Tiger from part 3 always bring out my inner Rocky, and inspire me to do the
best I can. For genuine emotional attachment to a character, Rocky Balboa is truly # 1 in my book.
