SWF Main Event 10/2/04
We open with a recap of the War Games event, and Wednesday's awards show. Then, we see the intro, and go live:
Vance: Welcome to SWF Main Event! Tonight is going to be an action packed night, hot off the heels of War Games, and the SWF Awards, which no doubt stirred up some hostility. Dean, tell `em what's on tap tonight!
Dean: Inspired by being honored at the SWF Awards for being the first SWF TV champion, Captain Fantastic will challenge the newly crowned TV champion, Lt. Jim Dingle who stunned us all with his win at War Games! Also, after being victorious over Silkky Smooth, and putting him temporarily on the shelf in their War Games Stretcher match, Tony Ramon will take on Silkky's ally Jules, but it won't be a singles match! Tony has commandeered the services of The Freedom Fighter, while Jules has shelled out for the services of The Mercenary! In another match made from the fallout of War Games, The Janitor, who was a member of the winning Army of Extreme team in the War Games main event, will face The Billion Dollar Man, who was the General on the losing Cash Inc Army team, and said to still be fuming over his team's loss at the PPV! Also, we have a # 1 contender's match for the SWF Tag Team titles, where 14 teams will enter into an Endurance Battle Royal, with the winners going on to face the champions, Cash Inc at Halloween Hell! And, in the main event, SWF World Champion, Octane will defend against one half of the SWF Tag Team champions, Jahalaman Jaffe!
Vance: Well, let's KICK IT OFF!
SWF Television title match: Lt. Jim Dingle vs Captain Fantastic
Dingle is way over as a face, with fans popping big during his entrance, and booing his opponent, who is also supposed to be a face. Fantastic uses power to level an unsuspecting Dingle off the bat, with fans rallying behind Dingle for a comeback. Dean points out how popular Dingle is becoming, which Vance attributes to his zany antics. Dingle eventually makes a comeback after kicking out of a pin following a sideslam. Dingle starts firing off punches, then uses an elbow to drop Fantastic to a big pop. Dingle keeps on him, but Fantastic fights back to control once more. Dingle keeps plugging away, turning the tide again, then suddenly planting his Dingle Drop finisher! The crowd cheers, and count along as Dingle goes for the pin, 1...................2................3! Dingle retains!
*Winner, and STILL SWF Televison Champion* Lt. Jim Dingle
Post Match: Dingle celebrates with his belt, dancing horribly like he always does, with fans loving it. Vance talks about how impressive Dingle was, saying that he has some serious wrestling skill.
We back to the announcers, who remind us that Extreme Superstar is gone until the end of the month (which fans boo heavily), shooting scenes in Egypt for his big feature film debut, Best Served Cold, starring Extreme, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Al Pacino. Angelica Summers, being his girlfriend, went with Extreme, so she is gone as well, which is said to be smart, so she doesn't become the next victim of the crazed kidnapper. Playing up on the joke of Extreme pretending not to be "Rowdy" Robert Piper, they say RRP is on a "business trip", which "coincidentally" is for the same length of time as Extreme's absence. RRP is said to be handling the booking via phone/fax, and watching SWF as he's away, so he knows what's going on. Vance says not to worry though, "both men" (and Angelica) will return for the grand Halloween Hell PPV, as it will hail from Extreme's birthplace of Key West Florida. From there, we cut to a promo for Halloween Hell, showing a bunch of people in various Halloween costumes running down the street at night, towards the waters of Key West as the voice over says "He left long ago, but it was destined that he'd return someday..........and on Halloween night.............he finally arrives!". People are all gathered on the beach in awe, staring at the giant Extreme Superstar logo that has formed in the night sky out of light. The voice over kicks in again, saying "Prepare for the Extreme Homecoming! When he arrives.........Key West will never be the same again!". All the sudden, lightening strikes the water from the logo in the sky, as a silhouetted Extreme Superstar appears to rise from the water! We hear the scream from the other promos, followed by the PPV info hitting the screen as it fades to the Halloween Hell logo.
Tony Ramon & The Freedom Fighter vs Jules & The Mercenary
Tony & Freedom get good pops, as Jules, seemingly a heel now, and Merc get booed heavily. Tony starts with Jules, and tosses Jules back in a lockup, so Jules tags in Merc. Merc comes on strong, but Tony doesn't run, and fights right back, doing rather well, much to the fans delight. Merc eventually wears Tony down, and gets him in trouble, in desperate need of the tag. Fans try to will Tony up to make the tag to Freedom, as Freedom leads them in their efforts. Merc tries a slam, and Tony blocks, turning it into a small package, getting a close 2 count. Tony uses this as the chance to fight back, then tag in Freedom! As the fans get behind the hot tag as it's known, Freedom comes in the proverbial house of fire, ala Marty Jannetty, dominating Merc, before Merc makes the tag to Jules. Jules turns the tables, fighting through Freedom's flurry, and slowing it down to a brawl, which he excels at. Now Freedom is in need of the tag, with Tony calling out for it. During this part, Dean in the booth gets some troubling news, and flees the booth, as Vance tells us to hold on until the end of the match for an update. Back to the match, Freedom rallies, and eventually gets the tag! Tony comes in, kicks ass, then takes out Merc as he runs in to help his partner, before getting Jules into position for The Edge! Tony nails it! 1-2-3, it's over!
*Winners* Tony Ramon & The Freedom Fighter
Post Match: The winners celebrate, when we suddenly cut backstage, where Dean is waiting to tell us why he left the booth.
Dean says the reason he took off during the match is because word got to him that Breakfast Club's Freak & Rich Girl have become the latest kidnaping victims, just discovered they were gone! With Angelica safely with Extreme, Dean had to cover the story, and it also means ALL the SWF female talents, outside Angelica are gone! Dean brings in Lt. Jim Dingle, who has been working on the case. Dean asks him about the clue he got at War Games, being the DVD box for the film "The Mangler". Dingle says he isn't quite sure if it means anything, or is merely a scare tactic, but the police have narrowed it down to 3 suspects. Apparently, the person who did it had access to the backstage area, and blended in, with there being no other way someone without a backstage pass could get through. The first suspect is a fan who got a backstage pass, and is said to have been lurking around on all the dates the girls went missing, then seemingly disappear. He is said to fit the slender build of the masked kidnapper. The fan spent most of his time chatting it up with the missing females, which gives credence to the theory he did it. The fan also apparently was backstage earlier, then left before he could be questioned. Police are trying to locate the fan as we speak. The next suspect is a crew member, who apparently also took off moments ago, before they realized The Freak & The Rich Girl were missing. This crew member is said to be a bit reserved and shy, making him suspicious, plus he fits the physical bill, not to mention drives a white van like the kidnapper. He was around during all the dates the girls were missing, and could have easily rushed off with them, taken them somewhere, and returned before anyone knew what was going on. The crew member was in a hurry to leave earlier though after doing some backstage work, saying he had to catch a flight to Mexico for a vacation with friends. The plane he was supposed to board never took off due to mechanical problems, and all passengers were given vouchers for another flight, so no record is there to see if he took it and boarded another plane. Dingle says police will have a hard time tracking him in Mexico, and he isn't scheduled back until the 12th. The third suspect is The Dead, who fits the physical bill as well, and has been stalking around the arena, despite not being scheduled to wrestle on the dates the females have gone missing. Dead was in the building earlier, and when a crew member spotted him, he sheepishly took off, then 10 minutes later, the girls were found to be missing. A crew member suddenly rushes in, then hands Dingle an envelope, which we have come to expect from his stalker/the kidnapper. Dingle opens it, to reveal a note saying "Here's your next clue", attached to the DVD of the film Married to the Mob. Dingle is confused by this, and he takes off to show the evidence to other authorities, while Dean kicks it back to Vance.
Vance does a rundown of the SWF Awards show that aired Wednesday to give Dean time to return to the booth. He says Extreme swept the awards, racking up 7 honors, including Best Wrestler. Dean makes it back, and we go back to the ring for the next match.
The Janitor vs The Billion Dollar Man
Janitor gets a huge pop, and BDM gets the expected big boos, making him even angrier than he first appeared. Janitor comes on strong, but BDM is in a foul mood tonight, and clocks him one right back, sending Janitor to the canvas! Vance points out the angered BDM, but Janitor is not going to take this laying down, and retaliates, with BDM unable to match him in a brawl. Frustrated, BDM bails after being pounded on, drawing mega heel heat. Janitor doesn't give him any time to recover, and follows him outside! Janitor goes on the attack, but BDM turns and blatantly nails him with a field goal like kick into the crotch! The entire crowd seems to have felt it, and let out an "OOH!", as the ref has no choice but to call for the bell.
*Winner, by DQ* The Janitor
Post Match: BDM isn't done yet, he keeps beating on Janitor before running him into the steel ring steps! Janitor crashes hard in the steps as officials swarm him, and pull him away. BDM looks like a man possessed, as he walks to the back, with the fans really letting him have it with the boos. Dean says BDM has "simply snapped" due to his recent in-ring failures.
We head back to the booth as Janitor is helped to the back, so Vance & Dean can run down the rules for the # 1 Contendership Tag Team Endurance Battle Royal. 14 teams are entered, and two teams will start it off. The only way to eliminate your opponents is throw them out over the top rope like a normal battle royal. Both members of a team must be tossed, and once one whole team is gone, the next team enters, and so on until only one team, or team representative is left. The catch here is, if it comes down to two men from different teams, they can join forces, and take the title shot for themselves as a team, or eliminate the other man so their official team can win the title shot. With the rules explained, we then head to ringside for the match.
Before the ring announcer can kick off the match, Sex Connection's Beef Macho & Randy Mann come walking to the ring w/ mics! Randy recaps the duo's loss to Faith & Devotion, which came to an end when F&D's monster, Daimon took them out, and allowed The Reverend to pin Randy. Beef says they are pissed, and say they hope to toss F&D out in the # 1 Contendership Tag Team Battle Royal that's supposed to have started. Randy reveals he and Beef are the first team in the match, and they are ready to go, right now! They toss their mics out, and the bell rings to start the match!
# 1 Contendership Tag Team Endurance Battle Royal
We know Randy/Beef are team # 1, and team # 2 soon hit the ring........Boppo & Repo, known as Tuns of Fun! Boppo runs out, but Repo is missing as usual, preparing for his big entrance. As poor Boppo fends off Beef/Randy, we hear the sound of Big Show's music hit! Out comes Repo, dressed as Big Show, trying to look as imposing as show, but failing since Show is a good foot taller than him! Repo Show hits the ring, and fights off Randy/Beef, before trying to chokeslam Randy! He hits it! The fans pop, as Beef sneaks up, and tosses Repo as he celebrates! Then, he easily disposes of Boppo! Tuns of Fun are gone! 12 teams left! As Beef helps Randy up, our # 3 team comes to the ring with no music.........Principal Vernon & Belding! The two have joined forces for a shot at tag team gold! The new duo attack right away, only for Randy to fire off on Vernon, and Beef wail on Belding, with both soon tossing the team! Vernon/Belding are done, 11 teams left! Time for our # 4 team.........Faith & Devotion! The fans pop for the upcoming clash, as Randy/Beef get primed to take out their enemies. Xavier & Reverend hit the ring with a vengeance, taking the fight right to their foes! The four exchange rapid fire blows, until Randy/Beef turn the tables, and back F&D into the ropes! They go to clothesline them over the top, but Xavier & Rev hold onto them, causing all 4 men to spill out over the top! 2 teams just bit the dust! 9 teams remain! Having been eliminated, the four brawl right to the back, as the # 5 team enters.........Good Ol' Boys stable members, Charles Gunn & Rory Rogers! With them in the ring, our # 6 team comes down to fight...........Generation Gap's Jimmy & X! There's no love lost between these two stables! X & Jimmy use their speed to leave Charles/Rory in a tizzy, before they double dropkick Charles over the top! Rory is now left to fight the team himself! Rory gives it a go, then tosses Jimmy when he flies at him, before leveling X, and sending him out soon after! One more team down, 8 teams left! Rory now stands alone, awaiting to see what team he will be up against. Team # 7's music soon hits...........it's The Suicide Brothers! Jack, bandaged in all from recent injuries, is going to compete tonight! The fans pop huge for the team, as Rory knows he's screwed. Mike & Jack fly to the ring, using aerial tactics to floor Rory, then Mike tosses him! That's another team down, 7 to go! Team # 8 enter next.........the makeshift duo of Daimon & The Don! Don & Daimon were at one point, 6 Man champs with Tony Ramon, and Vance says they must have re-aligned to get in a title hunt. Vance also points out Daimon is the man who originally injured Jack last month, injuries that have only been worsened due to Jack pushing himself to keep competing. Jack is visibly hurt from his War Games High Incident match, but he fights through it, taking it to Don, as Mike tries to fend off Daimon. Soon, Jack manages to dump The Don, and goes to help his brother with Daimon. The Suicides fight to toss the big man, but he bats them away, crushing Jack with a brutal boot to the face that appears to have laid him out, re-injuring him again. Dean says Jack has serious guts to keep coming out to fight every week being injured, but it could prove disastrous for his career in the long run. Mike, now alone, uses his speed to daze the big man, when Jack suddenly summons his energy, pops up, and climbs to the top rope, then scores with a missile dropkick right into the back of the unsuspecting Daimon! Daimon reels towards the ropes, as Mike gives him that last shove to send him over the top! Jack is spent from the move, but it worked! That's another team down, 6 to go! The fans pop big time, as Mike tends to his hurt brother, when Team # 9 hit the ring........another makeshift team, Tex Gentry & Alabama Man! The pair is said by Vance to have aligned based on their southern background, and title ambitions. Mike has no choice but to fight both men on his own, as Jack struggles to his feet, then joins in! Jack just keeps on fighting! Somehow, after taking a beating from AM, Jack breaks free, and tosses Tex! Mike covers for his brother, fending off AM, then dumping him out! The Suicides move on, with 5 teams remaining! Team # 10 soon hit the ring..........Danny & Tripp! Tripp, while not an official member of Generation Gap, is their ally, so that explains their team. Danny & Tripp bring it, with Jack still fighting for all he's worth along side his brother, easily dispatching Tripp! Mike, yet again covers for Jack, and prevents Danny from a retaliation attack, then tossing him out! 4 teams left! Team # 11 soon enter............The Bell Kids' Slater & Zach! Jack seems to be worn down, and Slater mauls him, as Mike brawls with Zach. Slater almost dumps Jack, but he hangs on the ropes, and pulls Slater out! Jack uses the time to recover, as Mike works over Zach, eventually tossing him! The Suicides keep winning, only 3 teams left! Team # 12 enters next, and it's a doozy........Petey Pizzazz & JuJu! Petey is wise enough to fight off Mike, to allow JuJu to beat on the weakened Jack. Petey tries tossing Mike, but he reverses, and sends Petey out! Mike then rushes to rescue his brother, only for JuJu to turn his focus on him, then knock him down long enough to eliminate Jack! He put up one hell of a fight, but now it's all over! JuJu goes to turn his focus to Mike, who is enraged at his brother being tossed, and Mike surprises him with a dropkick, then clotheslines JuJu right over the top! The fans go crazy as Mike is now reinvigorated, awaiting Team # 13..........Breakfast Club's Jock & Burnout! Both men enter wearing yellow ribbons to signify they hope their missing friends will be found, but the team is no match for Mike, who explodes on them, dumping them both within a minute! Only 1 team remains, and we all know it's The Black Dragons! The Dragons hit the ring, and Mike stands ready, taking their onslaught, before Shadow sends him out over the top onto the apron with a hard martial arts kick! Mike dazedly pulls himself up to see Quow running to knock him off the apron, but Mike wisely holds the top rope, and dips down, lowering the rope, and sending Quow sailing to the floor! Mike then slides back in, only to be jumped by Shadow, so I guess they aren't going to call it a night and take the shot for themselves. Shadow wallops Mike, but he's just not willing to give up, and rallies a comeback, getting the fans to side with him due to his efforts, despite both he and Shadow being big time faces. Mike starts hammering on Shadow, then Shadow goes for one of his lethal kicks, when Mike stops it by grabbing his foot. This sets up an enziguri perfectly for Shadow, but Mike ducks, releases the foot he was holding, and catches Shadow as he spins back around with his Suicidal Twist finisher! Shadow is out of it! Mike then picks up Shadow, and heaves him over the top rope! It's over, Mike wins it for his team!
*Winners, and # 1 Contenders* The Suicide Brothers
Post Match: Mike's music plays as he celebrates, then Jack comes out from the back to join him, as they are now going on to fight at Halloween Hell for the tag titles. Jack seems hurt, but downplays his injuries when a concerned Mike asks if he's ok. Shadow suddenly enters the ring, along with Quow Ling, who came from the back. The music stops, as the two teams have a tense stare down before the Dragons offer their hands in respect! The Suicides shake them, to a big pop, while Vance notes the showing of sportsmanship, and respect the two sides have for each other. The four all walk to the back together, as we head back to the announce booth.
Back at the announce position, Vance & Dean talk about there being no updates in the missing females case, and wish for their safe return. Then, talk turns to next week, where we are expected to hear from Rowdy Robert Piper via satellite, concerning matches for Halloween Hell! Apparently, a few matches have already been planned! The two then kick it back to the ring for the main event.
Main Event: SWF World title match: Octane vs Jahalaman Jaffe
Octane gets a mega pop, and Jaffe gets the big heat as expected. Jaffe is cautious about attacking, and tries for a more technical approach, which seems to work at first, before Octane turns it up a notch, and breaks out his power, to dominate Jaffe, drawing a huge pop. Jaffe seems taken aback by this power display, and seeing no other way to stop Octane, he uses a low blow, then starts in with ground based offense. His tactics work, but like before, Octane fights right back up, overpowering Jaffe. Octane really starts on Jaffe, with fans sensing the end, then Octane scoring with a HUGE sidewalk slam before signaling for the Empty Tank! Octane gets Jaffe in position, but out of nowhere, BDM storms the ring to distract the ref! Octane takes a second to see this, then goes to complete the move, when Joe Money comes in from behind with a chair, cracking him right across the back! The ref didn't see it, and Octane is down! BDM keeps the ref tied up as Joe puts Jaffe over Octane for the pin! But, then, The Suicide Brothers storm the ring to attack Joe & pull Jaffe off Octane, while The Janitor storms towards BDM to attack him! The ref sees BDM & Janitor fighting, then turns to see The Suicides brawl with Joe, while Jaffe & Octane are out cold on the canvas! Not able to make sense of this, he has no choice but to call for the bell!
*No Contest, Octane retains*
Post Match: Janitor is still handing BDM his ass on the floor, while the Suicides pound on Joe, when Jaffe comes to, and helps Joe with their Halloween Hell opponents! Then, an angry Octane comes to, grabbing Joe & Jaffe, while the Suicides head for hire ground, along with BDM & Janitor, who stopped fighting to run like hell. Octane does a double noggin knocker on Joe & Jaffe, then ends up hitting the Empty Tank on both men! The fans go crazy, as the pissed off champion stands tall in the ring with his music playing as we fade out.
END OF SHOW
